I Need a Site for parts for a 1988 EF Coupe
EDIT: Sorry, I thought my new Civic was an EF but apparently it's either a DX or ED. If a Moderator see's this, feel free to move it to the proper section. Thank you!
I just picked up a nice, all stock 1988 ED/DX Sedan (not sure yet
) for $600. Anyone know of a site where I can find parts for it? I plan to make this thing semi-riced out ^.^
P.S - I am a new member ^.^.. Also will hatchback parts also work for the sedan?

You mean a civic Hatchback, not a coupe. There is no such thing as a 2dr civic coupe in 88-91. The only thing close to that is a 3 door hatchback
Guy told me it was an EF. Must of not been a car guy. Sorry for my noob mistake but help a new guy out
here's the car. I'm away from home and my dad decided to get me this car;

Only pictures I have of it.
Also yes, I am underage for a car if any of you are wondering. I am 13 years of age but an very mature and I am a "Grammar ****". So try and hold back your critisim. I'm here to learn to be a JDM enthusiast.

The '88-'91 Civic came in the following incarnations:
- CRX (2 door fastback coupe with lift hatch)
- Hatchback (2 door hatchback with lift hatch)
- Sedan (4 door sedan with trunk)
- Wagon (4 door wagon with lift hatch)

Generally speaking, coupes are two door models and sedans are four door models. Some definitions are based on the placement and design of b-pillars, but you're going to usually confuse people if you even refer to a "four-door coupe", for example.
You can edit your first post so people don't get confused with what you're asking (
is to the lower right of your posts)."EF" is a car enthusiast colloquialism that generally refers to all 1988-1991 Civic/CRXes (years vary depending on country). Your car, I believe, is actually an ED. If you check the VIN it'll be the fourth, fifth and sixth digits. This is called your chassis code.
Btw, don't worry about the car being JDM or whatever. Just modify it the way YOU want. Don't worry about fitting into a mold.
Thanks for all your help
Coming home today. Gunna look at the VIN numbers when I get home. I saw a chassis code list somewhere but forgot where I found it...
Basicly, my plans for this car is to get a Spoon/Mugen-like lip/bumper/kit for the car and some nice wheels with an acceptable amount of camber and maybe a bike rack. The rest will go into the motor and might get some misc. interior doo-dads here and there. Not sure if this car is a DX or ED.. I saw a DX and it looked almost exact to my car.

DX is a trim level. ED is a portion of a chassis code (like EG for '92-'95 Civics and EK for '96-'00 Civics). So technically it's probably both.
I believe '88-'91 Civic sedans came in DX, EX and LX trims btw.
Definitely look around a lot and read a lot on here and on other sites. There's an EF sedan thread too, which might give you some ideas.

Yeah I've been around on some forums and some people at age 16 blow me away with their mentality being like a 5 year olds lol
Can you give a link to the EF Sedan thread? Can't seem to find it
Also if you know of a site where I can order parts, I'm still open to suggestions

You can likely pick up a lot of stuff locally since you're in the Puget Sound area. Sometimes some nice deals can be found on eBay, in the MarketPlace on here or in other forums' classifieds sections. Brand new from different manufacturers isn't always the only option and a lot of time it's almost pointless to buy the parts brand new (or impossible).
Hatchback are usually just 3 door not a coupe.
yours is a sedan 4 door LX model.
Sedan comes in LX only.
As for ordering parts you can buy parts anywhere online.
To me the Cheapest and fastest place to find is ebay.

Sorry for bumping this thread. Just got home lol
Anyways, since I'm just learning and what-not, I don't understand the codes for the parts on some of those sites and like seeing pictures of the part so I know what I'm buying. Basicly a nice site where I can buy ricer parts. I'll still look on eBay and what not to get parts off of other people.

Part numbers? You don't need to understand them to get the right part. Some Honda dealers online use OE part numbers and some don't btw.
The only thing those dealer sites are going to show you as far as photos of the parts you're buying (if new) is going to be exploded views from the Honda parts catalog. The image plus the name in the list should narrow most items down for you.
