Ok, so I'm really looking to get some SI wheels. I have some painted black GSR fat 5 wheels right now. I'm trying to decide which set of wheels will look the best on MY black civic EK. your input is really important to me so i can finally decide what i want to do. I like both wheels but most people don't like fat 5s for some reason. and if you guys have any suggestions on what to add on to my civic that would be cool too haha. I'm new and need advise.

 

Pick which one you like most and forget about what others think.

Si's are better than fat5 but IMO these are the only oem civic wheels that you can rock and not look like a broke dick:



I know everyones not able to spend crazy, but nothing screams "broke" like a Civic or Teg on another Civic's Teg's wheels, ESPECIALLY painted. I think non painted Si's are lesser of the evils.

I never thought the point of using OE wheels was to make you look like a baller though. OE wheels and painted OE wheels are a good way to have something besides steelies and hubcaps if someone isn't yet ready to pay the money for something aftermarket.

Technically you could always find Rotas or such for about the same price (~$400), but the OE wheels are a lot easier to come by, especially locally.

 

Please read the title of the topic then read your first sentence of ur post, u do the math.

Honestly, if it were my car, wheels are one of the last things that matter to me.

Modify other stuff, keep the car maintained and when you find a set of wheels that you love and you hopefully have the cash for by then, pick them up.

Whichever would look fine for now, but the Si wheels require work: possibly new tires, mounting and balancing. Plus time to do all that.

haha you're right. Honestly, the only reason why i bought these wheels was because i needed new tires on my steelies. Rather than paying for the new tires, i bought these fat 5s from a friend for $360 with new tires on it already.

 

Get two Si wheels and two Fat5's. Roll with one pair on one side and the other pair on the other. Best of both worlds.
