eibach prokit!!!!
HI. im thinking about lowering my 02 ex cpe 5 speed with eibach prokit. (1.5" drop). Some of my friends say that it is such a weaksauce drop that im wasting my money on it. I was wondering if u guys can post pictures of your accords on 1.5" prokit drop and tell me how it is so i can think about it thank you very much.
why are you dropping it? If you only care about slamming it to the ground then don't get the pro kits. otherwise it's a really good choice. they handle well. I've got them paired up with konis on my 99 and the ride is great too. Just do what you want, not what your friends tell you.

It will be the best ride you will ever get.. (the V6 springs have a higher spring rate for a stiffer suspension). Team them up with Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows and you'll out handle an Integra Type-R.

This my girls car with 205-40-17 with pro kits. It is not a drastic drop and I prefer it that way since it doesn't scrape everywhere I and she goes. Great Comfy ride with tokico blues.
Get the V6 Prokit springs and have them cut to the drop you want.

Hey pimpin accord
1 Suggestion tho. You may want to get thicker tires like 205-45-17 or 215-45-17 to fill in the gaps a lil more. It looks much better and will ride better with thicker tires. 205-40-17 looks a little small on these generation accord's. But I got them as a package so nothing I could do about it. Good luck!

Cutting springs does not magically make a 22mm rear sway bar appear on your Accord either which is standard on a Type R.
Cutting springs does not magically install a Limited Slip differential on your Accord which is standard on a Type R.

Do you realize that you are changing the spring rates when you cut the spring short? It is very unsafe to do this....

Im sorry but you have been misinformed. Cutting springs does not to improve the handling characteristics of a car. Pro-kits and other springs are designed to be their specific height and rate, all you will do is lower the car more by cutting them, you will be left with an unknown, useless rate and a bouncy ride.

Cutting springs does not magically install a Limited Slip differential on your Accord which is standard on a Type R.I have a stock swaybar in the rear and urethane bushings, Tokico Illuminas and strut braces.
Believe me, I have done it too....It seems good at first, but if bad handling, with inconsistent spring rates on 4 corners is what you are looking for, then it might be perfect....
Joking aside, cutting your springs will change the spring rate, it is proven mathematically. Imaging having each corner of your car have different reactions while hitting small road inconsistensies while on a turn....how does that make your car handle better? NOt only does it make handling orse, it also makes your car unsafe for you and your friends....And besides, if cutting springs are so good, I don't think company's like Neuspeed, Ground control and many more will be as successful as they are!
Just giving advice man....for your own good!

I have the Pro Kit's on my 95. Dont listen to these morons who say "slam that ish yO". Ive been there, slammed 3" in Coilovers. Scaraping everywhere, and ruining tires isnt cool.
I never said cutting them will improve performance dude.
you will be able to outhandle a Type R
You were implying that simply cutting springs and adding some Illuminas or Yellows will increase the handling performance of an Accord to levels superior to an ITR.
Cutting them will get you the drop you need. I've done it on several accords and the result of the combination I mentioned is an AWSOME handling accord. Believe it or not. I've done it. So... sorry to burst your bubble but that setup rocks.
Im docking you % points for continuing to spread unfounded completely false info with no technical information to back up your claims other than the words "rocks" and "awesome".
I never said cutting them will improve performance dude.
Yes you did. You said that you will be able to outhandle a Type R

Uneven springs rates are not "awesome". Lets see some before/after times from an atuox or track to prove how great your setup is. Cutting springs never "rocks". You are in the minority with your opinion. Thats all it is an opinion. Go take a poll in the Road Racing forum with all the Honda-Challenge guys and see how many of them run cut springs in their race cars.
It's plain and simple...search on the internet about cutting springs. Don't mean to sound like an *** but the reason your car handles awesome isn't because you chopped the spirngs but because you got the bushing kit, sway bar and struts. Put on some real racing springs and you'll see some more improvement.
Like everyone said, you have no idea what the spring rate is once you cut it...

No. You read what you wanted to hear. I was saying that HAVING the V6 PROKIT on your car with good shocks will make your car handle VERY well. Cutting them is simply to get the drop you want. I'm not here to argue with you dude. Beleive what you want. I've done it and like it. So there.
Eat me. You don't have to like my opinion. Mr. Admin god. Bad antagonistic attitude.
