Default front end noise

I started noticing a noise from the front end of my car, the only thing i can relate it to is it sounds kind of like a helicopter, and it goes faster as i go faster, and i know it's nothing with the engine because if i push the clutch in and let the car idle while i'm on the highway it still does it.

"whoomp whoomp whoomp whoomp" Is that the sound? Possibly a wheel bearing. Jack up the front and check for excessive play by pulling on the wheels at 3 and 9 O'clock, and again at 12 and 6 O'clock. If one side seems sloppier than the other, then you may have found your issue.

yes it is a "whoomp whoomp" noise, and i tried checkin for excessive play but couldn't really feel any. How much of a pain in the *** is it to get to the wheel bearings on this car, sorry i just bought this car and i'm very unfamiliar with them.

yeah i agree, sounds like a wheel bearing. if you're not familiar with your car, go out to your auto parts store and pick up the Haynes repair manual for it. It'll be the best $25 you could spend.

You can also check wheel and tire balance.
