On my 99 honda accord ex 4cyl, i am having an issue with the cold/hot air selection lights flickering. (I.e. defroster, leg air , leg and head air lights, inside air, a/c lights) The function is working for the most part ex: i can turn the air on and off, etc.

*Almost seems like it is extremely low on power and will barely read what your pressing.
Its really not constant with anything unfortunetly.
*when the car is turned off but in accessories position(fans blow) the lights dont come on at all.
*when the car is started the lights flicker, if i unplug the plug from the back of the controls then plug it back in the light will stay solid for a few minutes but once i press another selection(ex:inside air) lights flicker again

Tested and cleaned the battery terminals, checked grounds, wiggled wires around.
when car on is reading 14.2 volts.

What else can i test here??

Looks like the re is a power side bad contact somewhere.First,is the control is automatic or manual?I'm assuming is automatic.I would check the power supply soldering points in the back of it.Make sure there are no cracks on the board.

 

accord99power did you figure out what it was? mine started doing this the other day and through searching came across this.
