My 2003 ep3 K20 knocks/bangs repeatedly under front left hand side when loosing traction!.any help would be welcomed

i would want to figure out why it's loosing traction before i figure what's making that noise... but yea, speedoo is right. post in the correct forum and you'll get some better help.

Check your motor mounts and make sure they aren't torn. Also check your tire pressure, make sure its 32-35psi on all 4 wheels (depending on your wheel/tire setup).

How many miles are on your car?

Also - if you start to have wheel spin, try to modulate the throttle so you aren't wheel-hopping all over the place. It's bad for the transmission and a slew of other parts that like to break. If you're getting wheel spin from a dig then learn to launch better.

 

Thanks for the feedback, should have worded my thread better,makes me sound like boy racer!.Had my car 6 yrs mint condition,only just got 50k on clock.Only spinning when pulling out quick!

 

It's probably a combination of wheel hop and bad mounts. The wheel hop makes mounts go bad, bad mounts makes the wheel hop worse, then you get the banging noise...
