Default suspension...i think?

ok haven't been on in a while because never had any problems or anything, but this im lost

the back of the car was always looking lower than it should (all stock everything) and lately it seems that if i go over certain little dips and all around my town, i notice the front catches but it seems the back end just slams back down, which it never did before

so i was wondering what it could be?
i can probably get some new aftermarket shocks or coils or whatever for Christmas if i need them, i just wanna get the back end back in the air, i dont like the lean it has

sorry for the long post,
thanks

Blown shocks? Bushings shot? Have you gotten under the car and actually inspected anything?

Broken springs? Get the rear end up in the air and take off your rear wheels and look for anything out of the ordinary.

DO you know how to tell if a shock is blown? You can easily spot torn up bushings when you see them. I'm guessing your shocks are toasted.

I was taught that a blown shock won't effect ride height and it's the springs that make it sag. I'm leaning more toward old rusty springs or bushings.

ftw shocks/struts are made to keep the wheels on the ground. not to keep the car from sagging.

check the springs for anything out of the normal. (look for shiny bare metal on the springs)

Springs sag, sure. But, blown shocks will afftect the ride quality.

Check the shocks and see if you can see any oil, or any sort of residue on the shock body, or the springs.

Checking the bushings is a peice of cake. Look and see if they are torn/cracked/cracking or roting.

A blown shock will make your *** bounce like a jumping bean if you hit a bump or dip in the road. Old bushings will make your car sag.

i think everyone is right, the car sags, it feels like i bottom out on dips and bumps but i know when it does and isnt actually bottoming out, there seems to be some sort of slight residue, but idk if its in the right spot or whatever

probably best if i get a whhole new rear end set-up?

All 4 shocks. No need to touch the springs, other then to remove them.

Why the heck would you want the rear end to sit 1-3 inches higher?
The car's already a freaking monster truck in stock form. lol

ahhh, yea. i had a couple issues with curbs at stock height, but, these are monster ****ing curbs, and me not pay attention.
I should have said, in my opinon the car is a monster truck in stock form.

My car is lowered about 2.5-3'' I just bearly have a 1 finger gap in front, and rear. Other then just paying more attension, and being more careful, I have only had a few issues. My drive way, and a few of my friends drive ways will take my lip off if I don't hit it just right. and, I hit a big rig tire on the high way. Screwed the lip up, thats about it.

Driving a slightly lowered car isn't difficult, you just have to be aware. I have driven cars so low I had to almost go sideways over speed bumps. I know how you feel.

I am not a slow driver either, in fact, you can find me 5-20 over every day.

thats even worse than mine....mines stock, and i still hit curbs, but mostly when parking and pulling out a driveway and not turning the wheels the way i gotta go, i gotta back steer and the back tires are straight and i bottom out

and i top my car out doing 129mph behind a silvarado through the whole state of alabama, the idea of cops scared me, but i didnt feel like slowing down
