Default First attempt at TIG

Just wanted to get some opinions on my first attempt at tig welding. Machine was set on 120amps welding 1/4 inch thick flat bar. #7 gas cup Argon flow around 12 l/min. Here is the outcome. Feedback?

its 1/4" bar.

it would take alot of heat to get them going... but 230 sounds like alot.

I used millers tig calculator and that's about where it told me to be for 1/4 inch thick stainless. Thanks for the compliments fellas. I only have about an hour and a half total behind the shield so far.

I just noticed I screwed up with my picture posting. The last picture was done at 200amps. This is the 230amp weld.

Thoughts?

That makes more sense, your 230amp looks too hot. 200amp picture is pretty good.

Not bad at all. 200 amps seems to be right on the money. Just keep at it, but for being less than 2 hours behind the shield....i give u mad props.
