Default JRSC and maintenance

Hi,
the question is simple:
how do you- JRSC users- do the maintenace? I mean that even pulling the valve cover needs dissasembly of the plate on the timing side and support. Any tricks? Quick valve lash job becomes couple hours operation

Last time I discovered that the oring in the fuel rail on the injector no 1 broke and simple replacement took couple hours The whole supercharger unit had to be pulled off. This is insane.

Time to ditch the SuperChugger and buy a turbocharger!

You can modify your valve cover slightly and it allows it so you never have to remove the S/C when you need to get into your motor. I can't remember what was done, but someone on prelude power . com did it and he claimed it saved him at least 1 hour on most things.

Remove the rear studs for the Valve cover, use bolts to hold the rear down that way when you go to remove the valve cover you dont have to lift it straight off, this will allow it to clear the Jackshaft.

You can also trim down the IAC mounting location to help clear larger fuel rails. This should allow you to get any combo of injector and fuel rail off without removing the blower.

Oh and Endyn doesnt have an "e" at the end.

And I wonder how many of those people actually tuned their cars properly. I'm looking at a whole bunch of 6 psi and I got a feeling most were running the JRSC FMU. A few already admit they were using the FMU, i'm willing to bet all of them were.

Another face palm to your last post. You have much to learn. You posted a list of noobs who are/were such noobs they thought it was safe to run the shitty JRSC management and the obvious result of doing so.

Exactly. People think that they can slam JRSC and voila, car is ready to go.

Hey look, Im on that list.....

I can tell you that the car was tuned using the JRSC EMU. Car ran perfect for a day, then wouldnt start. Tore the car down and it had a huge hole melted thru one of the pistons (#4) Took that motor out, swapped in another stock bottom end and ran the car exactly the same for 2 years on 6psi and another 2 years on 9psi with that same bottom end.

haha Yeah I was a noob then.... that was a long time ago... most of the people on the top of that list went on to some great JRSC builds, handing down a lot of knowledge that people are using now.

Oh and that list is a lot longer, includes a lot of turbo cars as well.
