Installed the turbo ~2k ago. Changed the oil over to Castrol Syntec 10w-30. Since the install, I have put in 3/4 of a quart. I am getting ready to change it this week sometime. Is this normal, or am I burning too much?

I don't seem to burn any oil at all. I use Mobil 1 synth 10w30 and put in 4qt each time and it never goes below the top mark on my dipstick.

 

i burn approx 1qt every 5000 miles of hard driving.

 

knocking on wood, but i never burn oil either.

 

192,000 and no oil burning here, (rebuilt head though) boosting for a while too.,

 

no oil burning, check your oil return line and your oil inlet for leaks, PM me if anything

 

i burn about a quart aweekend runnin hard about 10 to 15 races. I know that it's not the seals just got that replaced so probaly the piston ring. Just gotta do a compression test to find out.

 

i burn about a quart every 2000 miles, if i boost hard....my car was burning oil before i went FI tho...it's the H22 curse.

 

the more you boost the more you burn

 

id say check the lines first off...i was leaking a little due to a bad connection on the feed line...other than that it doesnt seem to burn...just runs really rich

 

i have my valve cover breather venting back into the turbo (after the filter but before the compressor). In the past, I had a filter there (on the valve cover) and in that config. it did not burn oil.
