Default Finally got the b16a2 into the hatch..now i have some questions.....

so the b16 is in the hatch and its broken in almost completely.just need another few hundred miles to go.

1. when can i start running synthetic?? im up to 600 miles

2. how much is my stock dx exhaust piping hurting my engines performance?? i have v2 intake and no name headers 4-1

3. would gsr cams be a good upgrade or not worth the money and time?

4. are the 17 inch rims too big??

If your planning on modding the motor, just get yourself a CRV or LS block and build it up. When it's ready, swap it in and go get it tuned (big cams, springs & retainers would be good too). This will take you much further as your not really gonna go too far on 1.6L all motor. Most b16b guys get a 4.9 final drive to boost torque and they have a LOT of changes compared to a B16A.

CRV Block is not legal in any state so be aware if you have regular inspections.

Of course you could always add nitrous instead, or get a turbo kit.

Exhaust is definitely hurting you.

You're bottle-necking if you have a 4-1 header with a 2 1/2 collector going to a 1 1/4 or whatever small piping is.

17 aren't too big. It's up to you what you want your car to look like.

i think the piping is definitely hurting cause its too restrictive. and 17 are too big. they are heavy and your losing power just trying to push them around. id stick with a 15 or 16 but nothing bigger
