b16a
Question is ( cause i still want to use the one set) what side should i put the dual springs on because i only have enough for one side ????/ exhuast or intake? in my research i have seen people put both but whats the best?
Thank you for your time to read this and answer
Also whats the torque specs for the head .....?
and one more.. what are the valve adjustments for both intake and exhuast for the rockers?
Thanks again guys

yea cause i can post and walk away and get back to my job or my car..
my question was beings i only have 14 dual valve spring because when i floated my one valve i destroyed two of them.... i need 16 but only have 14 so i just have enough to for one side and want to know should i use the valve springs either exhuast or intake side?

Is this a serious thread?
If you need them - and you already "floated a valve"... then your setup is wrong. You do realize that dual valve sprigs are designed to be used in conjunction with each other - you can't just take the inner spring out and call it good.
You should probably post this in the 92-00 Forum... us EF guys don't even know what a B16 is...

set up is not wrong i over rev cause i am a jack ***.... and i did post in that thread but for some reason they moved my thread here in the ef probably because the b16a first gen came in these cars in japan... i believe... not sure though so dont bash me on that
and yes this is a serious thread.....i have one messed up motor B16a(MOTOR A) that i floated a valve and ruin two valves.. one exhaust and one intake.. but my springs in this motor where dual springs on both sides......now i bought another b16a (MOTOR B) for 500 dollars and i burnt out a valve cause my ecu is tuned to what my other motor had in it.... running too rich.... so i now have all the other parts off the motor i floated a valve in to put in the motor i burnt a valve in... i replaced the valve seals and valves....but when i took apart motor b all of my springs were single where as my motor a had dual springs..... and yes i am aware that dual springs are conjunction with each other..... i want to take eight off my dual springs from motor A and put them in motor B with eight single springs............ my question is what side should i have the dual springs on exhuast or intake.....????? that is my question.....

this can't be a serious question. you have to use intake springs on the intake valves, exhaust springs on the exhaust valves. they're different springs and have different tensions. the exhaust springs are stiffer to compensate for the exhaust valves being hotter since hot exhaust is flowing through them.
btw you burn valves from excessive exhaust temps, which comes from the engine over heating or running lean, not rich.
honestly you should have some one else build your motor if you're not willing to do the research your self (since all the questions you asked were easily googlable) to build your motor right

Thanks at least someone finally answered my question.... but still i have two sets of springs...... one set is single spring both intake and exhuast the other set is dual springs minus an exhuast and intake...... thanks i had the lean and rich backwards....but dcrb... read that whole thing again... i have two motors... i have to sets of springs i know exhuast goes on exhuast and oh yea intake goes on intake......maybea this will be easier to understand ..... i have 30 springs.... 15 intake 15 exhuast...out if the 15 intake i have 8 single and and 7 dual... out of the 15 exhuast i have 8 single and 7 exhuast....now i have done some reasearch but i want to get some opinions.....being i dont have enough dual springs to put dual spiring in my motor i gotta leave one side single one side dual.... which is the better side to have dual.....
