Are h22 piston tops ceramic coated?
My searches keep bringing me back to turbo builds and people sending out for ceramic coatings, mine are from a jdm 4g prelude with the older closed deck motor. Was thinking of giving a set a mirror buff before putting back in my motor to help carbon build up but if they are coated then I probably won't touch them.
Bump, maybe I'd of been better off in the prelude section? Didn't find anything in the h22 service manual either, just piston to wall clearance and I think stuff about the skirt coating for the FRM but nothing about the tops
I like polishing them, I just use a dremel with different attachments. I have a little set of scales to bring them back to the same weights. It's worked alright on my other motors to stop carbon trying to cling and reflect a bit of heat. Throw some water injection at it and you have really nice clean cylinders.
