Have you tried a gasket scraper?

Is it stuck on the block or the pan? If its on the pan you can use a 90 degree pneumatic grinder with a light abrasive pad to take it off. other than that you will have to keep at it with the razor.

on oil pan. gasket scraper like i said works but not really. i mean the gasket is like a rock.

isnt there a way to use a liquid that will make it peel off. i dont want to deal with that stuff i can grab a wire wheel and thn repaint it but id rather know if someone knows of a way to just peel it off with a spray or liquid.

im going to try paint thinner/gasoline/acetone tommarow. see what happens

Scrape the thing off the best you can then sand the surface smooth but finish by sanding parallel to the edge of the lip as best you can. You do not want the sandpaper grit grooves to cross the gasket and provide microscopic channels for the oil to seep out. Put a little HondaBond in the bent corner areas of the gasket where it runs around the crank seal areas (if applicable). Use HondaBond. It is far superior. Clean all surfaces with Acetone or similar solvent. Happiness is a clean dry oil pan exterior.

I'd give it a go with an abrasive pad / wire wheel as has already been suggested.

use a heat gun would be a better idea since you can put it on a direct area use a heat gun and a Gasket scraper and should peel right off
