Ok, so I'm going to buy some function and form type 1s for $525. Some guy i know wants me to buy his 1 year used function and form type 1s for $400. That same guy told me the place I'm going to buy it from isn't an authorized dealer and they might sell me fake crap.. anyways im a lil spooked. so if i go and check em out, how can i see if its fake? what details will give it away? i doubt theyre fake because the shop has been there for quite some time. the shops name is "Nor Cal auto stylez". in fremont, CA. if anybody can tell me how to check fake crap or if they're good please tell me.. thanks!

 

You're buying it from a guy or a place? Fake as opposed to what? It's not like these are collectors items. And these are almost bottom of the barrel coilovers anyway. There'd be no profit in counterfeiting them.

I'm buying it from a place. and what i meant by fake is that if they've been counterfeited and put a fake label.. This is new to me, the guy who was trying to sell me his coilovers said to watch out for fake f&f type 1s. lol i only heard it from him so i think he's just trying to get me to buy his stuff for his profit. thanks for your straight forward response though. ima buy it new.

sounds like he just wants you to buy his ****. Go look at the coilovers and if the label isn't in crayon theyre probably real.

Those are fake to begin with. Meaning those aren't real coilovers. They're cheap for the price for the product.

 

Try to contact the manufacture are see if they have an authorized dealer list, or website.

Popular springs like Tein are copied etc.

 

verdict should dont buy them at all if your looking for something in that price range just get yourself PROGRESS!

Yeah i did go in there and i bought the coilovers from your shop so now i know they ARE REAL. You probably don't remember me but i remember you! lol my bad for doubting your shop though, just had to re-assure myself. now that same friend who tried to sell me his coilovers is trying to sell me other Honda parts lmao.
