95 accord wagon ex-slushbox
So I went side ways the other day at near highway speed (driver error)
now I have an unidentified rythmic drumming noise that I am have difficulty locating. the sound is easiest to hear/feel at around 35mph.
I've checked the following:
-nothing is rubbing the tires
-frt/rr balljoints upper/lower
-tierods
-axles
-tires are balanced and aligned
-bearings
I'm a shade tree mechanic and don't want to give in and take it to a shop
so any help would be appreciated-thanks___no-no

 

Does your steering wheel shake?

 

Flat spots on the tires...but you say they have been balanced.

 

very mild shake at highway speed. I have checked for flat spots and blisters on the tires this is an odd one. thanks for the help, cheking the brakes tonight

 

Put the car up on jack stands (securely of course) and shake the wheels one at a time. See if anything feels loose.

 

nothing happens when it is up on stands. thanks though. the sound seems like it is coming from the d/s rear. a mild shimmy has started upon braking from highway speed...so that makes wonder about the axles
