back of car loud when driving.. annoying help!
i have a 99 civic and lately when driving it sounds like your driving a lifted truck. I thought it was the tires cause they were bald, but i just bought new tires and its still making that noise.. it sounds like my old crx that was all gutted out. what could i do to make it quiet? I have a baby and it sucks cause its really loud and most of all annoying! any help would be appreciated. thanks
the sound is coming from the back of car like trunk or quarter panels.

Give more details. Loud when driving, engine reving, idling, freeway speed noise or 25-35mph noise, describe the sound, exhaust noise, etc. One thing that worked for me when my car got loud was reconnecting my OEM intake assembly. It got loose after a mechanic was doing some engine work for me.

A wheel bearing can be heard inside, and it can be loud. It sounds like a whirring/groaning sound. Kinda like a paparazzi on a motorbike following you. Not like tire noise. Usually you hear it from one side or the other, unless you're really unlucky and both are going out on you.

What's a barring?
Wheel bearing, 100%. It is very loud inside the car. It's a fairly easy repair as long as you have a 32mm socket.
I ended up having a lot of trouble getting the bearing race off of the spindle when I replaced one on my hatch. The heat generated by the bad bearing "fused" the race to spindle. I ended up using my air chisle and some other motivation to get the thing off.
Good luck.

Check your wheel bearings. They will hummmmmmm and be so annoying. Problem I have is a nice hole in my stock muffler haha sounds like I have greddy. The rear can only be the wheel bearings, tires, or exhaust.
