Hello everyone, i own a 96 honda accord; recently my ride has been overheating and water has been spewing out of my overflow resevior in my ride. anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be the cause of this. Short distance rides no problem, running 10 miles or more i park and she throws water. Recently changed waterpump bout 6 months ago. Some please help. Thanx

 

Are the two fans turning on? The driver's side one is the A/C condenser fan and the passenger side one is the radiator fan.

Turn on the A/C, does both fans turn on? Report back.

In addition to filling back up the reservoir, open up the radiator cap and refill the radiator as necessary.

 

Sorry if this is obvious, but for posterity's sake, did you put too much coolant in?

OP-Please check what redbull suggested. What you are describing is classic signs of air in the cooling system...the answer is WHY is it there after six months since the last time the "system" was opened? A leak that wasn't there before????

Rent/borrow a cooling system pressure tester, does it hold ~15 psi?
