b18b engine shaking after replacing cracked cylinder head
need help on why the motor shakes after i replaced the head. It didnt shake when the old cracked head was on. first i just replaced the head gasket for a friend because thats all he asked me to do. the motor ran fine but it had a cracked head. so i purchased a used head from a local forum "carolina-hondas" got it hot tanked and installed it. now the engine shakes like crazy. it doesnt misfire just shakes. checked the timing last night and its good. maybe its the valves. any help is appreciated. thanks
A compression test might reveal if you've got one cylinder that is not making the grade (valve seat, adjustment, or perhaps rings...)?
That might cause shaking..
Another cause might be motor mounts, make sure they've all be re-installed and torqued correctly, and that all the rubber appears intact.
