Default My 91 DA integra build

year: 1991
make: Acura
model: Integra GS
miles: 217K
title: clean and clear, in hand

Well to start out, my names Dallas and i live in Cedar Rapids, iowa. The car scene here is slowley dieing but it will always be with me. Before i picked up my recent DA9, i had an LS/Vtec 91 EF 4 door. I sold that and picked this up from a buddy for $1,500!!! This car is originally from california and has ZERO rust, and is kinda my work in progress. I got it 100% bone stock, As it sits now:

k&n drop in filter w/ gutted airbox
B20B cams
CF hood
Ralco RZ single bend short shifter w/ DC shift ****
single sided dual core radiator w/ pusher fan
minor vacume line clean up
A/C delete for boost next spring.

This car is my daily driver and is rairly beat on. the driver side seat has a nice size tear, otherwise id give the interior a 8 out of 10. A/C, PW, PS, sunroof all works!

pics the day i got it home:

Heres the valve cover i just painted:

My plans for the car are as follows:
B16 trans
good clutch and LW flywheel
ARP rod bolts and head studs
boost that set-up on 10-15lbs

If i got that set-up all done, Id get it tuned and DD it! Just do little stuff.... opinions?

here in CR, we have a lot of V8 guys that think its IMPOSSIBLE to have a turbo car be reliable. So im out to prove a point and say u can. 14lb wastegate spring, tune it and drive it. not goin for a ton of power either. wont be driven in the winter tho, lol.

I did it in steps and over a period of time to make sure it wasnt gonna start surging or anything. But no, it has no issues with idle. But when it goes boost the A1 IMF will be switched out for a B2 i just picked up for $20.

The plans are pretty simple: "Keep it simple!"

EG struts with skunk2 springs in the rear
skunk2 coils up front
LS meshies with new rubber
Keep it stock on the outside

B16 trans
good clutch
12-15lbs on the LS

Finally lowered the car!!!!! heres whats its lowered on:

EG struts w/ skunk2 lowering springs in the rear
DA struts w/ skunk2 slip on coil-overs up front (6kg/mm)
Rides REALLY smooth, and not bumpy at all!

ok, im gonna try to get some more opinions on the turbo im using. Im looking to have it on 14-15lbs on the street and go to the track on 18lbs. Some guys are sayin for a fun street car look for full boost around 3500-4000. Heres the specs i can find:

Rated at 375hp- PTE4831B
• 48mm inducer compressor wheel
• "B" compressor cover 2.8" inlet/2.0" outlet
• T31, 76 trim turbine wheel
• Turbine housing options:
- T3 .48 or .63 A/R with 4 bolt discharge
• 360° journal bearing system

Still not sure if i should use the .48 or .63 A/R housing.
I know if i get the .63 itll be good if i ever want more boost, just worried itll hit full boost way late. Thx.

That teg is mint! Nice man. Lower it some more and get some nice wheels on there.

Edit: This isn't a for sale thread, please don't "bump" it lol.

Do you seriously think you will be ok to run that much boost on stock internals? You might want to do a lot more research before you try to actually go for it.

I know of A LOT of ppl running that much boost on a bone stock LS..... i plan on having rod bolts and headstuds. Ive done plenty of research, and am very confident in this set-up. Like i said, im only worried about the turbo size

Actually, my buddy took a junkyard LS and put a garret 35r on it, and made 400whp on 19lbs and drove it like that for 2 years before it blew a ring-land
