Default Question on 00 EJ6 sedan

Hey guys ive searched and didn't find what i was really asking. My friend just got a civic LX with 23K miles! for 4 grand. What puzzled both of us is that it has the power locks but it didn't come with a keyless remote. now can that be added? or it wont work with the locks?

thanks in advanced, im not a big civic guy sorry.

^Not for 99-00 Civics. In this case, the keyless control unit is located behind the driver's kick panel.

OP -- Generally, you just need to purchase a 99-00 Civic remote.

I'm pretty sure you can use any remote from 96-00 even the cr-v one should work, you just need to re-train it to work on your car
