Hey guys. My car (a 1998 civic LX sedan) is due for a repaint pretty soon. The front bumper has a large chunk missing from it. I've been looking for anyone parting out sedans on craigslist, but there are few sedans that are in good shape body wise. I need a hood and a bumper, but I'm looking to spend under 200$ for those two parts. Naturally OEM parts would cost me more than what I paid for the car, so I check ebay.

It concerns me because it says it fits coupe and sedan, whereas I am fairly certain that the bumper cover is different on these two vehicles. Am I correct?

 

Ek front bumpers are the same for hatch,coupe,and sedan

The front end is completly the same you just have to make sure you get the parts for the 96-98 and not the 99 00

How well did the bumper end up working for you?
I'm considering a Del Sol bumper, and I was concerned about fitment being snug.

 

Never ended up ordering as an entire clip came up locally. OEM parts always have the best fitment.

 

I got 2 front bumpers off ebay for less than $100 each shipped, 1 for a '05 civic, and 1 for my '00 and they both fit fine, much to my surprise.
