Default B18B1 Block w/ no PCV system???

I bought a B18B1 about a year and a half ago from some guy and never really checked it out, sent it to G.E. to get sleeved, machined, etc etc. I got it back now and I'm getting ready to install the swap but to my surprise while I was switching and cleaning old parts to the new engine (baffle plate, oil pan and water tube) I noticed there was absolutely NO PCV system on this block. The places they should be are cast from the foundry with no PCV system (Black box and tube that goes to black box). Now to my understanding, all USDM motors have some sort of PCV system so what the hell have I got here?

so its an obd2 block? will that pose and issues with an obd1 system or is it only missing the black box and bypass hose from oil galley?

another question: when moving the new block my buddy accidentally pressed on the oil control orifice and it sunk in a few mm. do i need to pull that back up flush or should it be ok?

it doesn't matter, oil pressure will push it back up.

I'm assuming since it was sleeved you plan on making good power so the pcv is worthless anyways. Secondly you're probably not going to be running a stock ls intake manifold either. Run 2 10an line from the valve cover to a catch can and call it a day. Or run 2 10an block fittings to a catch can.

I'm going to run the stock LS I.M. for now until I can afford something new, right now I just want to get the damn thing running and out of the garage (full wire tuck, abs delete, cruise delete, paint the bay and re wire the alarm system.) But yeah, I plan to make as much power as this LS can handle. So far I've gotten the engine assembled, with a minor set back (broke a damn camshaft cap bolt off in the head.) and the cam gear key's don't fit for some reason? I ordered two new bolts from Acura and two new keys (BC stage 2 cams and S2 adjustable cam gears) Don't know if that makes a difference. I was stoked to see the block didn't have the lame PCV system as the old one ( wanted to delete it anyways ). I have the VC off now so I'm going to be cutting the side for the cam gears and welding on two AN fittings for a catch can. My engine builder said don't worry about block lines to a catch can and just do it off the VC.

Now do I just block off that vacuum line from the original stock PCV to the IM and call it a day?

Do S2 cam gears w/ BC cams need a special key or should OEM ones fit?

Has anyone had their blocked O-Ringed? and if so can you tell me if I torqued the head right, I installed it like this:

Torqued in stock sequence to: 20ft lbs (twice), 63 ft lbs (twice), 80 ft lbs (twice), backed them off and did 22 (twice) 63 (twice) and 80 (twice). I couldn't remember but I'm sure thats what Sam told me to do when I picked it up. Used ARP thread sealant and ARP lube that was supplied with the stud kit.

Edit: Is there not a way to change the topic title??
