Default Got a quick question on removing the "stock" silver praint from my LS meshes.

So I really hate how my LS meshes came painted with that stock, dull silver color. I'm not really sure if it was painted by the previous owner or if that's how they came from the factory.

Any who, I want to remove it. I've done some research and everyone seems to recommend the "aircraft paint removing" which I'm not really sure where to get that at, maybe home depot?

Now after I remove the paint, will it be a dull alloy finish? Would I need to polish them up? Also, would I need to re-clear coat them? Will it rust if I don't?

Edit: I know this should be either in the wheel/tire section or the paint section, but I figured it would get more hits here, and I need a quick response since today is my only day off.

You can purchase air stripper from Autozone or so.

If I just leave them as their raw metal, will they rust?

They will oxidize if you leave them un-coated.

you're gonna kill the value & integrity of those rims once you rice them out. If anything, just sell them and buy a set of wheels that you like.
