Default is it possible--zc??

is it possible fro me to build my zc n/a and get 170 plus hp. and the torque that a stock b18 makes??

i want to build my zc n/a /n2o..so the cr cant be over 11:1
i figure:
stage 2 cams
forged high 11:1 pistons
eagle rods
bored .020 over or maybe .030
block guard
professionally built and balanced
minor p&p
plus all the boltons i have now i/h/e/fly/cam gears/msd

will it make 170 plus hp and more torque than a b18?
then i could throw a 75 shot without worring about a blown motor so much..

Do you want 170 at the crank or the wheels?

Hmm 170 at the wheels seems like it would take a bit of money.

Its going to be hard just to get 170 at the crank and 160 at the wheels...geez I wish I could put a motor in and not have barely any drivetrain loss...

your looking at with 170 at the crank more like 150-155 at the wheels....

and it will be hard to find good internals for it...such as stage 2 cams....youll have to find some good cams to begin with....

good luck. i have a friend with some crower2's in a B16 with all bolt ons and a VAFC, made 169.7 at the wheels, not worth spending the money on a ZC. you will have a hard time finding parts for it in the first place, let alone aftermarket. torque is for burnouts, horsepower is for racing.

it could be done,im building a d16a6 right now,it should make around 150,still fully street driven, let you know in a week after it get on the dyno,i had a friend that ran 12.5 on pump gas with a single cam,im sure he made over 170 whp.

Well, it is a little easier and cheaper to find parts for the SOHC than it is for the DOHC ZC... Im not saying it can't be done, but it will just take some money, work and lots of tuning.

actually hp comes as a result of torque.... look in a dyno... they got the hp of the torque readings.....
