Ok, I read the FAQ. I directed myself to other sources. I looked on the manufacturer's website. I looked on Tire Rack. I looked on Discount Tire.
I CANNOT FIND THIS INFORMATION WITHOUT IT BEING SPECULATION.
Are Falken Azenis RT-615K's in a 205/40/R16 safe on a 16x8 +30 wheel?
This is a car that is going to see nothing but track time -- and driving to and from the track. Solo II / Auto-X.

Click "sizes and specs".
They're rated for 7"-8" wide wheels.
Always try the manufacturer's site for size safety. Sometimes the venders don't have the correct information, but the manufacturer always will.

Why didn't you just go to Falken's website?

But anyway, always verify fitment with the manufacturer if you're unsure.
Also, the original post is, um, contradictory. "Nothing but track time" and "driving on the street to and from the track" can't both be correct. One can get away with many things during an auto-x that aren't safe to drive home with (for example, you can run those tires until the tread pattern is completely gone and you can almost see the steel belts showing through the rubber for auto-x use, but really need to stop driving on the street with them at the legal 2/32" minimum).
On a side note, how awesome is it that a Tirerack rep is on here providing information on a tire they don't even carry (no Falken tires on tirerack)?

Unless you want to BUY me a truck and a trailer, then I'm still going to drive to the track. I don't know how else I'd get there. And dropping another $600-700 for a trailer hitch, wheel carrier, and "street" wheels and tires is just sort of asinine.
I included the track statement because track is a bit more abuse than driving on the streets. Say this was an unsafe stretch -- I may make it to the track just, but blow the bead on a powerslide. It's why I asked the question in the first place. Thanks for the INFORMATIVE replies, but other than that -- it's post like yours that keep me out of this section. Every single time I've posted a question in here, I'm treated like an idiot for even asking a question. Way to spit on people who know less than you on the topic.
I asked a simple question because I couldn't find the information. I'm aware of the legal limit of tread depth for street driving, and I plan to maintain it. I don't need to be chided like I don't know what I'm doing. The only thing I asked for was if I can mount X tire on Y wheel.

No one is treating you like an idiot. An idiot would just be ignored, not answered.
The only idiotic thing you've written is "track only" and "and street use" in the same sentence. That simply isn't "track only".

That's one sentence, describing the driving I'm going to do. Nothing but A -- and B. Not really hard to grasp, and not contradictory. I'm not going to be cruising around town. I'm not going on the highway. I'm not getting groceries.
I'm driving to and from a track -- to drive on it when I get there. When I'm done, I'll drive home.
EDIT: How did you reply to my post? I deleted it immediately after I posted it (a good hour or so before your reply) just to avoid this conversation.
I can't believe I'm even bothering at this point, but I have time to kill so here goes...
Ok, try and stay with me here. It really isn't complicated.
To and from the track, is NOT "nothing but track time".
"Nothing but track time" means nothing else, at all, ever. Not getting groceries. Not driving to the track. Nothing else.
Will this help? http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nothing
And now that I have treated you like the idiot you are, you may now complain about it.
By hitting the "quote post" button.
I'm out. You have the answer to your question and can do with it what you please.

That's like saying I can't eat "nothing but" ramen noodles AND mountain dew. It was ONE sentence, one complete thought. I added the 'to and from' part to clarify. It's like saying I'm not allowed to walk to my bedroom, or use the bathroom, or get a snack if I make the statement "I'm going to do nothing but lay in bed all day."
You know damn well what my intent was, and what the meaning of my words were. It doesn't take a genius to figure out I need to get to the track somehow. You just want to nitpick grammar.
I can limit my excursions to "NOTHING BUT" more than one thing -- but that still rules out EVERYTHING else.
Did you really have to even mention it in the first place?
