Integra h22 swap help
I just finished swapping an h22 into my 93 integra and I'm wondering if I will be ok using the stock integra ecu and fuel pump until I can get a walboro 255 and chipped ecu? The motor has built internals and 370cc injectors.
it will run extremely rich. The ls is a 1.8 liter, and the h22 is a 2.2 Liter. So, in theory, just for understanding, it needs about 18% more fuel if you had oem 240cc injectors (i believe). with 370 injectors, it will be pouring in about 25% more fuel. All in all, it will be running 8% more fuel with the fuel curve way off.
your fuel curve will be off, and no vtec. your best bet is an Svafc tuned with a wide band. Your only other choice is a shipped AND tuned ecu.

Thanks for the reply. That makes sence but is about the opppsite of what I thought would happen haha. So its not the ecu that determines how much fuel is put into the motor but the size of the injectors? I'm good at the mechanical stuff but I'm still learning about the tuning part
you have 3 factors. Fuel pressure. Injector size. Pulse Time.
Ecu controls Pulse time.
Injectors controls the amount of fuel that can be sprayed at a given duration and at a given pressure.
Fuel pressure controls how much fuel can be forced through the injectors.
you need to measure how the fuel is burned Via lamda. A wide band O2 will tlell you precise measurements. your looking for around 12.5 A/f ratio for power. 14.7 A/f for economy.
Ok thats really helpful. I actually have a chipped po6 ecu that was tuned for my motor but I am having problems with it. I'm not sure what the pattern is yet but after driving for a while the car starts running like crap out of nowhere. Soo thats why I'm making sure that I'm safe driving on the b18 ecu until I can figure out whats wrong the po6.
