Default hardwood in place of backseats.

When i got my crx, it had no carpet. So i finally drove to richmond VA to pick up some carpet( via HT member. I got my carpet in (great condition!) and soon realized the back looked bare. I am missing the cover for the back seat area. So I decided to pull a VW move. Wasn't a fan of the idea after a friend suggested it but i went ahead and roughly cut out and laid down some hardwood floor in that area. Turned out it looks pretty good! Needs some work on the front where the wood angles down but this gave me a good place to start. Let me know what you think.

Umm... No. It could be made to look OK, but that just looks like a box of flooring broke open and slid across the floor... I have done this in S10's and such - it can be made to look like it belongs...

lol like i said it's just sitting in there! So in theory, it is just a box of hardwood opened up and sitting back there. any suggestions on how to make it look good?

doesnt look too bad, round the edges a little bit, make it fit a bit better and cover it with black carpet

Make everything in the back wood. Then it'd look cool.

Looks soooo comfy!
It would look awesome if you cut the length a little so it rested flat on the floor.
Then get the cover and put it over the wood so you couldn't see the wood.
=P

Can you stain the wood?
They make super dark cherry color stain that would go with the black better.
Also make black stain that might look cool as well.
Unfortunately you are doomed with the front of the seat never going to look right.
It needs a curve and you can only give it an angle.

Unless he uses thinner slats of flooring... That stuff is way too wide to ever look good.

you could definitely get the curve for the seat with real hard wood and a little heat and moisture .....think of how they make acoustic guitars....if its laminate flooring though i dont think it would work out to well
