Motor revving down when I put foot on gas...
Two days ago after it rained I was on my way to school, on the highway when I go to change lanes and went to hit the gas when, instead of revving up i heard the motor rev down, like it failed. i stepped on the gas and it idnt rev up it was wierd and dangerous, had to put on my hazards and pull over to the shoulder for a sec. What could be wrong? Any ideas would be great
You have a cold-air intake? They tend to pick up air low and in-front of the wheel, which makes them vulnerable to picking up water on a rainy day.
If so, you may have narrowly missed a hydrolock; hopefully you did!

You left some parts out.
After the car revved down, what happened? Did it stall and turn off?
Did it go to 1000rpm and then pickup after?
You get the car towed home? Is it working fine now?

it didnt stall or turn off. it revv'ed down and i tried to put more gas it would sort of 'try' to rev up and then back down, i slowed down to the shoulder and after a few seconds i drove again and it drove fine after that. i think it was around 3-4000rpm then revved down to about 1000rpm if i remember correctly. no towe, thank god. today it worked fine it didnt happen again. very strange..
Id worry about it if it comes back. To me it sounds like your fuel filter maybe got clogged? It is really hard to diagnose, usually if a CEL doesnt show up, Id say you are in line for a tune-up. Don't replace unnecessary things, but at least take a look or check the condition of the following:
spark plugs
plug wires
dizzy cap
dizzy rotor
fuel filter
air filter??? I don't know if people replace these anymore.
Also, have you been in an accident? If you have been in one (front end), maybe there are gaps in your hood that water is making its way through at high-way speeds. It could mess up electrical, etc. Just a thought

So it can either be clogged air intake, or wet ecu, or spark plugs, dis cap, and/or fuel filter? i tell you one thing, my coolant is dissappearing fast. i filled up the overflow tank the otherday and if not the next day the day after i checked again and it was almost empty.. not sure if its part of another problem.
Could be the same problem, if you popped a head gasket but only a pinhole, when the system was full and highly pressurized it could have momentarily flooded at least one cylinder which was obviously hot and it turned to steam and vacated. Then after you were low on coolant less pressure less problem....just a thought check your overflow bottle itslef for damage, watch your temp when driving and take the cap off the radiator and check the level in the system when the car is cold. Your radiator should have coolant right to the top of the neck where the cap goes on
