take out the axle, and if you see that the diff hole is totally hollow, with no obstruction in the way, the tranny IS LSD equipped.
If the diff hole is not hollow and has a bar through the middle, the tranny has a stock differential.

it has a bar in the middle but i can see around it. but my big question is it a gsr trans or a ls trans? it seems like it pulls so much harder but i forgot how the long geared ls feels. i know with this trans im tacking 4000 rpm in 5th at 80 mph
Ls.... 3500rpm at 80MPH
GSR.... 4000rpm at 80mph
B16 and Type R..... 4500rpm at 80mph.
or open the case, gsr will have tapered bearings on the diff, ls will have roller bearings
gsr has a 4.4 fd
ls has a 4.2xx fd
count the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by the number of teeth on the counter shaft
