a littel help with axle?
okay jus bought an EK HB with a JDM B18C swap. Came with an ITR LSD tranny and i jus found out that my CV boot for my passenger axle is broken and grease is flying everywhere. The question is, when i go in to get a new axle, does it matter what year the car is? and i have no idea what year the car is that the tranny came off of, neither does the previous owner. oh and the car has a 5-lug conversion, again, no idea what kinda 5-lug conversion but i think its a itr 5-lug
It depends on whether you have usdm or jdm knuckles. The jdm ones utilize a 36mm axle nut, and the usdm ones have the normal 32mm. If its a US 5 lug setup any b series axles will work. If you have jdm hubs you will need to need to get either jdm itr axles or custom axels with (I think) prelude outers. One way to find out which ones you have would be to count the splines on you current axle. us = 26 splines jdm = 28 splines.
