Default Jdm F20B in my 91 std hatch

Hello everyone, I am pretty new to these forums and pretty new to the honda game. I own a 91 hatch with the stock d15b1 and four spd trans fed by a garrett t24 turbo. The motor had 185k on it and i blew a head gasket.. as most of you agree it is not a motor worth rebuilding. Sooo I ordered a DOHC Vtec F20B, I will be parting out all my turbo stuff if anybody is interested and I will keep pictures up as often as I can, any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

hmm... f20b= euro r accord engine. just look up how to do a h22 swap into a ef. it's just about the same, might have some difference with wiring though.

Would be a cool swap!
... but ...
wouldn't it be more power for a similar price to just rebuild a D and feed it some big boost?

I, thought about doing the same thing to my old hatch but it wasnt worth it first off doing a b series is tight and that motors bigger, the hood wont clear, your have to run a hydro trans with cables not a linkage. Its a huge headache and thats before you try to wire it. Talk about pain in the ***. But if you can do it itll be sick crazy torque in a light car equal fun.

This is just all theories and speculations, since I have never built a motor for turbo...

But since you already have this D engine, and the turbo set up, could you not rebuild this engine with stronger internals and boost in mind? You could probably make the same power as the f20, probably spend less money, you would have a basically new engine, and putting it back in would be a snap.

Just my 2 cents.

$1,500 cash - sent in an envelope. Make sure to mail it to John Smith - 123 Easy St. Your Town, USA. I'll be waiting - when I get the cash I'll send the goods.

it would probably be about the same. might have a bit more hp, and tq. if built right, 170+ whp, and 130+ wtq. for about the same money, as the engine. all extra cost that op would have spent to get the f20 running, he could have spent on tuning to get more power instead.
