Default New project build

hey guys. I purchased a new project a few weeks ago. I bought this 91 Dx from a friend for $600. It ran but it had some major issues...so I jerked the motor out and bought an obd1 jdm d15b vtec for it. I'm planning on building the motor from the ground up except the crank. Gonna try to get the compression about8.5:1 and turbo it. I haven't decided on the type nor size of turbo I wanna use so any recommendation are much appreciated. i will post some pics toma.

thanks...lol me and some friends hand sanded the bay for 2 days then went over it with a DA. it was slick ..I put a coat of filler primer then a coat of sealer on it..5 coats base...5 coats clear...and thats the whole reaso I chose to turbo a jdm d15B...I got my machinist to order custom JE pistons and eagle H beam(same as d16z6) (137mm)....can't wait...He says it should have a 7.5:1 compression ratio....i wanted to do a different build so what better than the hardest SOHC VTEC motor to build....

7.5:1 compression and only 250hp?

Honestly, you could reach your hp goals on stock compression.
If you can get a little drop in compression then maybe 8.5~9.0
You are sacrificing too much low end for not much hp.

Yeah, that car is gonna lag really bad, i think you will be disappointed with engine response. I wouldnt got lower then 8 just to hit 250.
