LSD question..
Might be a stupid question, who knows. Ive seen this asked before, I can't recall the conclusion that was drawn, so here it is again.
I rotated my tires tonight. When I have the drivers side jacked up (Front and rear tires off the ground, passenger sides both still touching) I was able to tighten the lugs on the front tire with it in the air. It was obviously locked. That is, the tire did not spin freely. When I did the passenger side however, the tire was not locked and spun freely. Is this "OK" for the LSD? Does it indicate a problem? I know the differential obvisoulsy can't be "locked" so to speak, otherwise taking a corner would be difficult. Why was the driver side locked however?

If the trans is in gear, even without a LSD, you can tighten the lugs with one wheel off the ground and the other touching.
This doesn't really indicate anything about your LSD.
However, if it WAS NOT in gear, the only thing I can think of is that because it's only a one way LSD, it won't lock when you tighten the driver's side lugnuts. Turning the driver's side wheel clockwise is like if the car was decelerating (think about it as accelerating backwards using the tire to propel the car).
