Anyone ever source this for their R???

I love the look of just the rear windows tinted, but hate that film causes an awful glare (had tint on my R up until recently)

I've seen ppl source it for their CTR replicas but never for a dc2

I would not tint my Integra for the reasons that you mentioned regarding film. Call some glass shops. It is a pain to install from what I have heard.

 

I think he's talking about the OEM tint for the 1/4 windows and such. I've seen in but not on a car. The OEM is bronze IIRC

All JDM ITRx's have factory tinted windows (the tint is actually in the glass, not just a film)

Also, all JDM regular ITR's had the option for privacy glass, so it must exist in abundance across the pond

 

I was wondering if any aftermarket glass manufacturers offered the tinted glass here.

 

A guy local to me has the JDM glass in his quater windows. Its a bronzish looking tint in the glass much like the smoked glass we get here in the US but lighter. I forget what he paid but it was ALOT for just 2 windows.

 

I'd want the hatch glass. What is the shipping on that from Japan?

 

I always wanted the qtr and front ones....I have the hatch and its 100 times better than any professional tint job...

 

How'd you get ahold of the rear hatch?

 

I have had 5% tint all around my windows except for the front windshield of course and have had no problems...

I do not know of the glare that you speak of...

The windshields are $350 when they have them. All parts are used of course. Don't know about door glass. That's the cool part is all the windows are the same color. But again, it's subtle. Not dark at all.

i had it shipped over about 5 years ago with other stuff...It's dark...

 

I always thought about getting the rear hatch for my EG. I never tinted that car simply because I've not seen one single tint job that looked good on the rear hatch. To many black lines create zillions of bubbles all around the window.

Were you able to find anybody with bronze tint to match for the rest of the windows?
