95 Civic NO Spark
Okay so i was driving my civic. and all of a sudden it lost horsepower. and sounded like it was running on 3cyl. i drove about 1 mile to my uncles and the spark was weak. then all of a sudden it just died.
i checked the fuses. fine. timing belt. fine. checked the igniton coils ohms. and they were good. .8 and 14.5. checked voltage on module and had power. also turned key to the on pos. and got 12v to the spring thing off the coil... cap.rotor.plugs. and wires all new.. getting no spark to the cap at all. even tried a new cap.. idk what else to check. even though the ohms on the coil were fine. it could still be bad right?

Possibly your ignition module. You can get them for like $40 at Oreiley auto parts.
If/When you install it, make sure you use Heat conductive compound like the stuff you use on the heatsink of your computer at home.. Put it on the metal back of the module between the module bracket in the dizzy, and put it on the surface of the module bracket that touches the dizzy housing when installed.. If not, the module can not dissipate heat and will overheat and fry like the one you have right now just did..

there was no internal resistance. it was 0.00 when i tested. both the coil's primary contact point and then between the coil positive teminal and to the secondary winding terminal where within specs.
well i changed the cap and rotor. no go. changed the ignition coil. still nothing. i smell fuel so its spraying into the block i assume. checked fuses. rotor is spinning so timing belt cant be busted. the module is fine. i tried 2 of them. did nothing. should i just buy a dizzy off ebay?
