I believe the gold colored hardware is cadmium plated steel. It is no longer used in for most hardware because it is bad for you. You will see that all new-stock from Honda (no matter what you order) is a silver color with some sort of greenish tint swirled onto it.

I myself prefer/miss the gold colored hardware.

BTW: Lots of your non-stress bolts on your car will be made of aluminum because it's 60% lighter than it's steel. Usually small brackets that attach to the chassis or radiator support are aluminum.

personal preference/opinion. I don't like their product nor paying the extra money because they bought bulk and put them in their own packaging. You can buy the same **** they sell cheaper bud. Have you seen their vehicle? Dunno if they go up there, but if I had a car that had my products I sold, I would want it to be immaculate. Their bondo shaved engine bay on the green bay on their main page is cracked to hell and back.

I don't know a site where you could get the stuff, I buy mine from a local business that specializes in metric fasteners. I bought my oil pan "stud kit" which you can find here for $28.80 which are black oxide studs and zinc plated nuts. Black oxide is capable of rusting, it has very low corrosion resistance, especially considering it's at the BOTTOM of the motor where water WILL splash up onto. I got ALL stainless steel studs, bolts, AND washers which that kit doesn't come with for about the same price, I think it was cheaper, but it was so long ago I can't remember the exact price.
