Default Engine stutter/misfire

I'll be checking to see if its throwing a code later today, but i've been noticing a slight misfiring (seemingly) in the 1.5-2.5k range when accelerating normally.

Periodically, the engine will loose power and i'll start slowing down unless i floor the pedal, then the power will pick back up and it will start firing normally. Then i goback down to part throttle and it starts stuttering again. Power will completely cut off usually with some stuttering untill i floor it. After about a min or two of going back and forth, it'll return to normal.

I've already replaced plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor, & ignition coil. I noticed my engine is noticibly more responsive, but i'm still stuttering. I ran seafoam through my tank a month ago. Increased my mpg by like 4-6. The only thing i can think of is maybe my fuel pressure regulator is stuttering?? Maybe fuel injectors are going bad??? I dunno WTF....

I'm not having any problems idling or starting. No excessive cranking, no backfiring, absolutely nothing i could notice. Aside from my a/c leaking out overnight.....

btw i have a 98 EX, 4cyl 5 speed.

If there are NO ocdes.

I think the 6th still had the same egr ports as the 5th 4cyl's......just offering something to think about...almost the right rpm range,,,,,only when warm (closed loop), light accel....

Next might be a lazy O2-

First thing I can think of is have the TPS checked. It could have a bad spot on it.

Seafoam through the intake will clean it up and likely cure your acceleration problem - it did mine, on the same car, though mine only did it for a mile or two until warmed up. I took my intake completely apart and cleaned it up only to have it happen again two weeks later. Seafoamed through the brake booster, though I didn't let it sit in there for 10 minutes like they suggest. I just put 1/3 can in, let it bog down last little bit, and drove a few spirited, but safe, miles. No problems now for 2 months.
Hope this helps.

He tests a bike but it's really the same thing on a honda TPS.
