Default 1986 honda civic si fuel problem

Is there some trick to priming the fuel system after the tank is drained and repaired car just cranks.

It would have an inline fuel pump. Turn the key on to the Run position, and let it sit for a few seconds. Then cycle the key a few more times between off and run.

There's a schrader valve on the fuel rail. After you cycle it a few times, take a screwdriver and press on the schrader valve to make sure you have fuel there.

it lives...we just didn't have enough fuel in the tank.......we even took it around the block to. not bad for not running in 6 years either.

Change your fuel filter ASAP. Right there on the firewall.

yeah we are already planning that, have to wait until the next paycheck
it isn't our daily driver, it's our gas saver

They are only like $10-$20. Who knows how clogged it is now. It'll burn up your fuel pump.

like i said it will have to wait, we don't live in the city, we are 60+ miles from the nearest autoparts store. it isn't being run anyways....it needs licensed and insuarance and all that good stuff
