Default no power to ecu

alright i started my car before after the build and ran ok, found out one injector plug was switched around. I got a different base map after switching the injector plug. Battery took a poop so i got a new one of those. The motor turned over and started and then quickly died. I then went to go start the motor again and then i blew the 80Amp fuse for the battery to the fuse box. fixed that and now i am not getting power to the ecu so the fuel pump doesnt come on, car doesnt start, and the check engine, oil lights do not come on but the rest of the car has power......

I NEED SOME INPUT!

THANKS

Sounds like you have another blown fuse or melted wire. When you blow an 80 amp fuse, that means a heavy wire did something unusual. FYI a dead main relay or ECU (with good fuses/wires) will still show a solid CEL.

A heavy wire did something unushual? I read it may be the ground to the t state for the ecu main relay or possibly a bad ecu. Other suggestions

If you blow an 80A main fuse something went very wrong, that is a dead short.

You said you fixed that, what exactly did you fix? 94

the 80a had a brocken circuit ( the middle of the fuse was fried) so i went to the auto parts store and purchased another 80a fuse to replace it. i put it in and now certain parts of the car has power, but not the ecu, fuel pump, starter, etc so im thinking that the main relay may be the culpret.

also i read that when relocating the battery to the trunk you should put a fuse about a foot away from the power terminal on the battery and power wire going towards the starter?

You mean all you did was replace the fuse, not find and fix the short that took out the fuse in the first place?

Yes you should have a fuseon the power lead at your relocated batt.

What is the MM&Y of your car?

What mods other then the relocated batt. have you made?

How exactly was the relocated batt. wired?

I have to agree with stock95coupe, you may still have a blown fuse or open circuit, [melted wire]. 94

93 rhd Honda del sol. The problem is the motor turned over and started before. And the motor is built with a Turbo kit etc. How would a wire melt? I've been reading and feound that a open main relay would not let the fuel pump, injectors, etc on

And the battery is wired so the ground is in the trunk the main power goes to a distribution block that feeds one wire to the starter then one to the fusebox

I had a quick question about my ECU being possibly damaged. I went to jump my car off because I left the lights on and my boss hooked up jumper cables backwards and blew a few fuses(The main 80amp) and I have replaced it and the car runs fine, but sometimes it won't start and I have to simply remove the backup light/accessory fuse and the car starts fine....any ideas on a possibly damaged ECU or something?

Pop it open and inspect it. 5 screws.

Could be a badly damaged relay or a bad connection between ground and block etc
