Default 86-89 Accord and 88-91 Prelude Shifter

Options?

I would assume that it is the same for 88-2000 civics/90-01 integras

I don't know about accords but I know the 88-91 Preludes have a cable operated shifter. Any Civic I've worked on (92+) is a rod shifter. Won't work. Every once in a while you can find a modded Prelude shifter on eBay, they cut the pivots and reposition/reweld them and they raise the cage to make a short shifter. I don't think there are any aftermarket ones tho.

do you have any pics of the setup from a 88-91 prelude as far as shifter, transmission, and cables?

i am looking for a prelude as my project, simply because i like the body style, and they are old enough to be cheap, and i can do whatever i want with it.

i have only played with auto Ludes from this generation, and motor replacements from the accords. i assumed that the engines were fairly interchangeable.

i dont have a problem making a shifter, but at the same time, i wan t a full cage, suspension, and a more modern motor. so i guess we shall see.

The prelude shifter is in fact a cable driven shifter.

the accord is rod driven and from what i have seen, all shifers are interchangable from the civic/integra to the acord.
