Hey. I have a 94 Accord VTEC. When I accelerate, I hear a slight grinding/whining sound coming from my front passenger side wheel. But during decellaration, the sound is like 100 times worse... it sounds like my flywheel is gonna spin outta place. Any ideas of what it might be? Thanks in advance...

 

could be the axle

 

is there any shake in the wheel or extra vibration?

 

ya there is a little bit of shaking, would that be axles?

 

Check your engine mounts.

 

check your inner CV boot...if it is torn there may be excessive play in the axles and it may need to be replaced

 

I got the same problem on my GSR, I find out it was my final drive going out. To make sure, I drained the tranny fluid to find metal draining out with the fluid.
