Icon2 loom confusion!

i recently bought a 99 ek civic, originally a 1.4 motor but has had a 98 b16a2 conversion, runs fine but im well confused about the electrical side of the conversion,it has a pr3-j01 ecu , loom is connected to the ecu through a red pig tail adapter, it has type r civic clocks, i plan on building a rally car out of it and wud like to loose the pig tail n fit a b16a2 loom , i dont know much about looms and ecu's and im eager to learn, my friend has an ek4 rally car and his loom can be connected to sir/vti and type r ecu's easily with no pig tail adapter so why is mine different??? any help would be great!

sounds like it has obd2-obd1 conversion harness using a obd1 ECU, and how you know the b16a2 is 98, the b16a2 comes in the 99-00 civic SI so all you would need is a 99-00 civic SI ecu and Harness, but why would you want to do that when the Obd1 ecu is better and allows you to modify it?
just keep what you have its perfectly fine, if it aint broken don't fix it.
