Fresh Tune up Problems

Icon2 Fresh Tune up Problems

Bout two weeks ago i did a basic tune up on my em2. It was driving better for about three days and now its back to over rev'n . So i checked the new plugs i just put in and they have carbon build up all on them they look just as bad as the ones b4 them any ideas of what i should do?

1) what did you replace with the tune up?
2) what do you mean by over revving?
3) is it an automatic transmission?

over revving is usually an auto trans slipping. nothing a tune up would fix.

oil
spark plugs,ignition coils
Automatic

when i say when it shifts on its on it doesn't sound smooth. It goes steady and then randomly jumps up like one or two RPM's then thats when it decides to shift

how much am i looking at to get it done cuz i dont have the time to do it my self

What would cause it to start to slip tho

I would recommend getting the fluid changed on the transmission. It would probably alleviate some of the slipping, if not all. Use factory transmission fluid, though.

This generation of civics are known to have trans problems. I would try to replace the fluid first and only use Honda trans fluid.

I did the the drain yesterday and its driving lil better gotta give it some more time. thanks for the advice !

You might want to do the 3 x 3 method.

Basically you do it drain it after say 300 miles or so, drain and then drive it again for 300 miles or so, total of 3 times. This gets all the old fluid or a lot of it out.
