Default Suspension/Steering noise??

Vehicle is a 95' honda civic dx, manual steering.

I have replaced, inner/outer tie rods, lower ball joints, upper ball joints, installed new function/form coil overs, front two tires, and cv axles within the last 2 months and have had the car aligned twice.

I can't seem to figure this out, and its driving me crazy.

While driving everytime I hit a small bump, I hear a horrid thud coming from the front passenger side. I have a slight bit of play in my steering wheel and when I move my steering wheel back and forth you can hear a squeaking noise and that similar thud. My steering wheel also shakes pretty decent at around 65mph and up.

I put the car up on a lift at work and everything seems to be tight with no play, but when I took the car to get aligned, hibdons had a problem with it and said with the driver tie rod all the way tightened up, it still wouldn't align the tire strait. I'm wondering if it could be a problem with the rack, but then again what would mess up in a manual rack.

Any help would be awesome!

Having a similar problem, but with power steering rack, everything looks great on a lift..checked everything, tie rods, rotated tires, transmission swap(was told it could be my differential), you name it..., aamco told me today its most likely my rack, taking it to honda on wednesday to get it diagnosed for sure, i'll let you know what i find out.

its the rack end bushing. yes its a common issue. only on the manual racks. power racks you just replace it all with a remanned one. this is the only part that ever needs rebuilding for a manual rack, so there is no rebuilt manual rack to speak of, it would be worthless.

and dont forget to adjust the pinion.

Your awesome! I will check this out and try replacing them, thank you. I have been looking to do the quaife quick ratio rack and pinion kit for my car. So may just do it all at once if I get the chance.
