Clunking noise when move stering wheel or drive over bumps...
I have a 94 Civic coupe, and I have a problem that I don't know what is....
Not to knowlaged on suspention, but, I recently bought ths car and noticed when the car is not movng I shift the steering wheel back and forth itll make a lcunking sound...
I assumed, and figured it was the tie rods. So I replaced them all both inners and outters.
clunking still appears....
Itll clunk over bumps when driving....
I though it was my struts( coilovers slammed, struts=no fluid left in them, totally blown)
but I kinda think it may be the steering rack (manual)
what is your opinion/fact?
is there a way to test to see where the problem is?
I also thoght it may be the steering rack , bushing?
steering knuckle balljoint?

well, this is right off the top of my head. Not sure if I'm correct but. when you turn the wheel the suspension flexes. It could be the coil overs poppinf on the blown struts.
It sounds like you need to replace the suspension anyways. So do that and see if the problem still occurs.

cv joints?
edit: nevermind you said when it wasn't moving....
man, just replace your suspension and see what happens.
shouldn't be driving around on blown struts anyway....
