06 si clutch not releasing, help!
My wifes car is a 2006 Civic Si coupe.
We had to take my wifes car to the dealership, they had to replace the 3rd gear because we bought the car used with a warranty.
Eventually my wife was driving and the clutch pedal wouldn't come up from being depressed, it eventually got worse. I noticed the shifter would get stuck in gears unless you were actually going at a decent speed. Reverse was the worst gear!
We took it back to the dealership and they have had it for a while, they finally told us that it was the slave cylinder for the clutch that has gone bad. They said it was leaking but when I checked everything myself it wasn't leaking, at least from what I noticed.
My initial thought was the the clutch release bearing( throwout bearing ) wasn't lubricated properly and was sticking to the main shaft while we press the clutch in.
I tried to express my concerns to the dealership but they didn't heed what I said in the slightest. Them shrugging me off makes me not really want to deal with them, and this problem isn't covered by our warranty. If it is the slave cylinder it shouldn't be that hard to replace, but I want to know for sure if this sounds like a good place to start.
If anyone else has had this problem please let me know, I'd really like to get this problem resolved as it is REALLY annoying to only have 1 car.
Thanks in advance.

Try bleeding the system first, fill the res.( leave the top off the res.) then open the bleeder and let it gravity bleed.
Watch the fluid level in the res. when it reaches half way top it off and let it bleed a little more, close the bleeder. you should have a full pedal now.
If you don't the trouble could be the slave not holding pressure or taking in air o the upstroke of the pedal.

Pressure plates have a lot of force. I cant see an ungreased throwout bearing getting jammed like this.
Bleed the system and replace the slave cylinder if anything.
