Default Re manufactured hondata?

Would anyone buy one of these? They're like 300$ cheaper so I might be interested if it's reliable.

He must be talking about this description.
"This turnkey solution is based on a remanufactured Honda OBD1 ECU that just works first time."

Do you think Hondata makes ECUs from scratch?

There is no such thing as a re-man hondata unit offered by hondata or any of their dealers.

That description is directly from Hondatas Yahoo store.
http://www.hondata.com/obd2promotion.html
Maybe that's where they got it from. Looks to be an old promotion.

1. Hondata does not sell to the public & does not have a yahoo store. You must buy from a dealer such as http://www.phearable.net
2. The item title you listed is "OBD2 S300 ECU bundle"
3. The "OBD2 S300 ECU bundle" must be purchased from an authorized hondata dealer.
4. Item description "This turnkey solution is based on a remanufactured Honda OBD1 ECU that just works first time. All socketing, testing and installation is done by Hondata."

This means you can order an obd1 ecu with obd2 plugs adapted to it by hondata with an s300 system pre-installed from an authorized hondata dealer.
This has been something that Hondata's dealers have offered for several years.
The only reason some people prefer to order this bundle is because some people don't want to use an obd2 to obd1 harness, they prefer just to plug their obd2 engine harness directly into the ecu.

Sorry about the mis-information about the Yahoo store. Don't know what I was looking at that prompted that part of the comment.
