Icon2 205/40/16 vs 195/45/16

I have a set of 16x7.5 +32 Kosei K1's that I need new tires for.

Now my question is, which tire size would be less likely to rub if I am lowered about 2.5 inches or more all around?

Two of the tires on them now are 205/45 and they rub like heck. The other two are 205/50 and... well, you get the point.

I was leaning towards 195/45, but wanted to get other pepole's opinions before I go and spend $400 on new tires just for them to rub too.

I would also greatly appreciate it if anybody with these tire sizes on these rims can post pictures so I can get an idea of what they would look like.

Hope I'm not asking for too much.

Thanks.

What kind of car are these wheels going on? Because the car dictates the tire size more than most other factors.

I knew I missed something. They are going on a 98 Civic Coupe.

205's are not really all that wide. Have you already rolled your fenders?

Well, in all fairness, you're not likely to rub on either tire size... but the tire size that will be less likely for rubbing would be the 195's.

You can usually rent a roller off of craigslist for about $50 a week. Rent one and get a couple buddies to pitch in and have a fender rolling party. I ended up just buying a roller and rolling a few peoples fenders for $60 a pop. Paid for itself in one month.

205/40R16 is the narrowest we can do on a 7.5" wheel.
