Default first time at the track today

ran my car today for the first time. The best run I could pull of was 15.098. 2000 feet above sea level. Kind of disappointed, thought I would do better. I was having alot of trouble with launching, the tires didn't grab at all.

R/T-.627
60'-2.570
1/8-9.928
1/4-15.098
Trap-97.08

9.9 in the 1/8 and you still pulled a 15.09 @ 97.8mph .

Man that is a smokin trap speed. Wish mine was that fast and I am quite a bit faster in the 1/8 with a much slower trap speed go figure. What was your MPH at the 1/8?

my MPH at the 1/8 was 75.22. I really wanted to break 14's. My car feels very strong and I was almost positive I would be able to do it. I guess I just have to keep practicing and get myself a set of new tires. I have pirelli p700-z's on it now, they suck. I ran this time at 45 psi on the tires.

Interesting, I too went to the drag strip today.

My best run was a 15.199. I'll get trap speeds and specs for you all later.

And with full interior, ALL STOCK with the resonator removed(Kinda bad for the car since it was sucking in alot of hot air), without dumping the clutch. I really had a hard time tonight because it's my very first time at the track and I've only had my ITR for about 2 Weeks now. The track I went to is a little below sea level I believe or very, very close to it. So that will explain the difference in time. I had my tire pressure at 35psi when I ran the 15.199. But when I lowered it to about 22psi, I could only hit consistent 15.3s. BTW, I loss to an LS on one of my runs. I had a 1.102 reaction time. and he beat me by a couple tenths. Not to mention he was all gutted, no A/C, no PS, I/H/E. I also raced an H22A converted Civic. I thought it was gonna be a close matchup since he was on shitty tires and averaging 15.3s all day like I was. Lined up twice, and I missed 2nd Gear Twice. Thought my tranny was going bad, but when I drove it around it was fine. Weird. Maybe stock ITR doesn't like being shifted hard. A couple lessons learned...

1. I can't drive
2. Stock ITR is slow
3. I can't drive
4. and did I mention I can't drive

Not to sound like a dick or anything but, i think you just can't drive. ...lol. u know im playin with you. i told you you should have your tire pressure lower, but u didn't wanna listen to me. but on your 8th run, you lowered it to 17psi and u ran a 15.6.... but u missed 2 gears!!!!!. you coulda easily gotten into the 14s if you had 1 more run. given the circumstances, u had an ok day. hey, it was your first time at the trak! give yourself SOME credit! and let me drive next time. oh well. we still have our deal, rite? as soon as u get into the 14s i get to drive it.

get some tires!

BTW... to let everyone know... he did loose to a 3000gtvr4, he will keep denying it, but we know its true.

LOL

cya monday

it was at raceway park in englishtown, nj. it is no more than 50' above sea level, but the barometric pressure was equal to that of 2000' above sea level. i found that hard to believe, but they announced it many times. they didn't say the actual pressure though (mm of Hg, KPA, or ATM)
